Spring Into Radiance!

As the flowers bloom and the temperatures rise, I love how the springtime emerges and we start to refresh our daily routine to match the vibrancy of the new season ahead.

Let’s unpack the 3 pillars of a balanced lifestyle for the springtime with nourishment and a reset for mind and body connection, fueling our bodies with healthy foods and movement to increase our energy.
▪ Sleep - beauty sleep is essential, I aim for at least seven hours a night, I put my phone away an hour before bed, read my Bible and devotionals and follow a regular bedtime and wake up routine (to avoid insufficient sleep). Good sleep outperforms everything else.
▪ Nutrition - scalable eating habits, meal prep, also having a larger bandwidth to incorporate healthier options so I don’t impulsively eat the wrong foods. The goal is getting in shape and staying that way. Eating right and exercising can easily be seen as a perk, rather than a priority, so let’s eat mindfully. I love fresh fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins to stay satiated.
▪ Exercise - working out at least 3-5 days a week to reduce mood swings, a balance of cardiovascular exercises, circuit, and strength training, and continuing to promote the best regimen by tailoring it to your own fitness level. Regular exercise coupled with eating correctly will contribute to sustainable results.
True story:
Exercise should not be used as a punishment or looked at as a chore for choosing certain foods that you’re not supposed to eat because you had a day of indulgence… Not every day will be perfect, and you may gravitate towards a decadent piece of chocolate truffle cake… And just remember your body is sometimes like a formula- calories in, calories out, coupled with eating clean, and exercising produces great results, but if you fall off the wagon, just pick yourself right back up.
Life is enjoyable! It’s a slice of life, we can indulge in just one slice, not the whole pie.
Thank you God for strength and endurance to get us through each day!
It can feel like you’re checking off the boxes on this list of priorities but you’re not reaping the rewards, that’s how I felt, this overwhelming feeling of I’m reading the manual, but why isn’t the equipment working.
Take everything one day at a time and one bite at a time.
Pro tip:
Prepare, plan, and preserve ahead, Sunday meal prep (or pick a day that works best for you) – preparation is key, and we don’t want to gloss over the details.
It may seem like a lather, rinse, repeat method but the pre-arranged meals will be so beneficial for you.
I hope the month of March brings you happiness and prosperity while maintaining your goals, let's grow together!
The righteous flourish like a palm tree.
Psalm 92:12
Blessings my friends!
Love,
Jasmine
